I remember seeing Marcinyshyn in a few games at the start of the 90-91 season, but that was all I knew about him then.

At the time, I had no idea that he was the captain of the Utica Devils prior to that. He was a physical player on top of
that, as well as a good passer and occasionally could be used on the power play.

He did get to see other NHL games when he was with the Nords, and a few with the Rangers, as well, but he largely
played in the minors up until 1997. That year, he gave Germany a try and played the last 2 seasons of his career over
there.

He would return to Alberta and get a job coaching junior women's hockey.
