Lakovic's NHL career was very brief with games between the Devils and the Calgary Flames, but it did achieve some
infamy with an incident with some fans during an Oilers game while he was with the Flames.

I mean, I know he was a Pit Bull (that was his nickname), but even if a fan is being an asshole to you (or in this case,
assistant coach Guy Lapointe), you just gotta blow them off and focus on the game.

Having gone undrafted, he had moved around the minors a LOT. Although he showed off his fighting skills quite
frequently, he did develop a little bit of a scoring touch, and he got to show that off while with the River Rats, having
tallied 26 points in 51 games during the 99-00 season with them.

Besides the AHL, he had played games in the IHL, the ECHL, the WCHL, the CHL, and the CoHL, among other
leagues. He last played a pro game in 2005.

He had also played in RHI for 4 seasons in the mid-90s. Yeah, back when roller hockey had its boom period.

He also got a bit part in the movie Miracle, playing Russian superstar center Boris Mikhailov.

In late 2016, he was diagnosed with an inoperable form of brain cancer. He was only given 3 months to live, but
would pass away 6 months after his public announcement.
