Stats in bold signifies team leader.
By the time the Devils got Brooke, he was at his best at being a role player. He could still provide a little offense, but
was a solid defender and penalty killer.
He only played in the league for 7 seasons. After he was traded to the Jets, he chose not to report and retired instead. He
would earn an MBA at Harvard, which seems blasphemous since he originally attended and graduated from Yale.
He would go into banking, eventually working for First Boston Corporation.
Reading other things he had done, working in other banks during offseasons, on Wall Street and whatnot, plus having
written an article that was published in the New York Times, it was clear that he had plenty of ideas for life outside of
hockey. So I'm sure he had no regrets.
