Some people have described Zubrus as an offensive enigma. I don't know, really. Looking at his career totals leads me
to believe that he's a solid support player. It didn't take that long to figure out.
I think people's expectations got too high from him playing on the same line as Alexander Ovechkin for a season, which
could be why they started calling him ZuBust. That's not my problem, though.
He's more effective, I think, when he's throwing his weight around. Yeah, he has the size. He better be using it out there,
ya know? I do like that he can play any forward spot, though.
He has proven his dependability, though. When there are players that aren't doing the little things, he stood out because
he consistently did so.
That's what the Sharks got when he went in to be a fourth liner for them. Of course, Peter DeBoer, now the coach for
the Sharks, already knew that.
After that deep run with the Sharks, he would retire.
