The balance of Ward's time with the Devils was like that of most of his career: he spent it in the minors. He was best
known as a rugged low-line forward.

At times, he was able to pitch in a point or two. In his only season with the Albany River Rats, he scored 33 of them in
65 games.

And of course, you see what he did in New Jersey.

At this point in his career, though, he was struggling to find a niche with someone. It was his fourth organization in 3
seasons. So he decided to give Sweden a go. He would play only one season with Timra before retiring.
