Most of us Devils fans are very familiar with Beezer from having watched him play with the Rangers, among other
divisional rivals. (Yes, the Florida Panthers were at one time a division rival.)
He was only calling it a career when he was a Devil, though, but did play fairly well when he got in the pipes.
He was on the roster for both postseason runs, but did not see any action.
After Beezer retired, he bought stake in the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the OHL and became their GM and coach.
That future got shot to hell, though, when he used a racial slur towards then team captain Trevor Daley. He sold his part
of the team and resigned as GM and coach.
He transitioned into broadcasting after the incident, having worked for Versus at times, and later for Westwood One.
He returned to an executive position in 2013 when he was named the GM and Director of Hockey Operations of the
USHL's version of the Muskegon Lumberjacks, as well has buying stake in the team along with the Ferraro twins,
Chris and Peter. He still hasn't returned to coaching, however. (Needed to add that note.)
