I never knew Schlemko as an offensive defenseman. (Truth be told, being that he played mostly for teams in the west,
I didn't know that much about him in general.)

But that he is. Thus, he was part of the reason why the Devils' power play actually had some favorable results this
season. Fans bitch about it all the time, but the team
was 9th in the league in efficiency. To all to that, even with the
apparent struggles at even strength (citing the -22), he also had a career year with the Devils.

The Devils was the fourth organization that he was working under since the start during the 2015 calendar. The other
three, in order: the Coyotes, Dallas, and Calgary. Right now, the only way I could see him leaving (He only signed for
a year.) is if the organization thinks that someone else can step and take his load. (Don't say Severson. He's already
doing his part.) Although they may not have a choice now.
