Regular Season Statistics with the Franchise
Stats in bold signifies team leader.
A star in his homeland and on the international scene, Porvari was one of the first Finns to come over and play in the
NHL.

Other than that, I can't find much else about him.

I can say that he knew some English, so he served as an interpreter to teammate and fellow countryman Tapio Levo
when he also joined the Rockies at the same time.

After 8 games with the Devils, and 11 with the Wichita Wind in the CHL, he finished the 82-83 season in Austria.
He would return to Finland the following season with TPS and would finish his career playing in the city of Turku.

He was inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame in 1994.
