|William Stephen Oleschuk
Height: 6' 3", Weight: 194 pounds
Born: 7.20.55 Edmonton, Alberta
|How he arrived: Via Entry Draft
How he left: Signed with Fort Worth (CHL) after 79-80 season
|Regular Season Statistics with the Franchise
Oleschuk had a better career in the minors than he did with the Scouts and Rockies. Many point to having better
defenses in front of him as the reason for it.
I also think that it was hard for him to crack the big club because of the goalies in front of him in Michel Plasse, Doug
Favell, and Bill McKenzie. 78-79 was the closest he would get when he played 40 games.
He retired in 1984 after his last season in the minors, where he played for both the Peoria Prancers and the Fort Wayne
Komets of the IHL.
