Alright, I'm gonna do the best I can with this. There isn't much info on Kapla from what I can see.

What I do see is a 4-year Riverhawk.

He never missed a game while he played at UMass-Lowell, was part of Hockey East's All-Rookie team his
freshman year, team captain for his last 2 years, and was a second team All-Star in Hockey East his senior year
(16-17) as the Riverhawks won the league's tournament.

He's meh as a skater, but he's got good hands, good defensive positioning, and a good hockey mind, from all
accounts. He did run the Sioux City Musketeers' power play exceptionally well, an aspect that continued to grow
while in college.

There is some concern for his size, though.

This signing is basically low-risk, high-reward. And with the Devils in need of more offense (I know it can mean as
a whole, but for now, for the purpose of this write-up, we'll stick with the backline and the idea that Damon
Severson and John Moore need some support), he not only got a look in during the last weeks of the 16-17 season,
but he will get a very good look through to next fall's training camp.
