Regular Season Statistics with the Franchise
Stats in bold signifies team leader.
Havelid was best known as a "defense first" type of player (Well, obviously, being a defenseman and all.), but having
him also gives any team an extra option for offense on the backline.

So basically, the Devils getting him was a depth move.

But being that he was an experienced player, he was likely to see a good amount of games. He was part of the Ducks
team that made it to the Stanley Cup finals to face the Devils in '03, after all. That happened (seeing a lot of games,
I mean), but his play was less than memorable. What appeared to be a good trade on paper at first went
south quickly.

After the season ended, he decided to head back to Sweden to play for next season when he signed with Linköpings.
He would play there for the rest of his career, which lasted until 2013.

He currently runs Havelid's Helpers, an Atlanta-based charity that works in conjunction with Habitat For Humanity.
