When the trade went down, let's be honest, Hall was pissed off about it; he did not want to leave the Oilers. At the
same time, he said that he's seeing it as a new opportunity.

Just what the Devils needed: a dynamic player... that now has a chip on his shoulder.

Yeah, you could say that the last player the Devils had of this caliber was Ilya Kovalchuk, but even he faltered after
Zach Parise, the one I point to for comparison, left to sign with Minnesota. And it took one-for-one trade to get him
there. (You heard me say my thoughts on losing Adam Larsson on his page, so I'll just leave it at that.)

Sure enough, once the season started, the move was paying off.

Now, it's just a matter of finding the right linemates for him. Adam Henrique got first crack at the job, as they were
linemates when they were on the London Knights together. They later tried Pavel Zacha, who has also been described
as a dynamic player. Both have seen some success with being paired with Hall. I'm sure others will be tried, and we'll
see where the dust settles.
