Since he broke into the NHL, Friesen was a solid and consistent support player. That was no different in New Jersey, but
he stepped up huge in that postseason, especially in the finals, tallying 3 game winners against his former team, the
Ducks.

The following season was a decent showing for him, even with scoring for the entire team in general being down.
However, he was non-existent in the series against the Philadelphia Flyers.

He would bounce around after being traded to the Capitals after the lockout; he went back to the Ducks that season, then
spent a season in Calgary. He followed that up with the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL, where he played 5 games in
07-08.

Presumably, he had retired after those 5 games, because he had also taken the 08-09 season off. Either that or just
nobody signed him. Anyway, his last known wherabouts was the German League, where he had played with the Berlin
Polar Bears for 2 seasons.
