Regular Season Statistics with the Franchise
Stats in bold signifies team leader.
Darby had a handful of NHL games he played with various teams by the time he became a Devil. His signing was more
a depth move and to add some veteran presence to the Albany River Rats, really.

With it, he did have 2 good seasons with the Rats, with points totalling 74 in 02-03 and 69 in 03-04.

...

Well, I imagine he did wanna do a good job in front of his hometown fans. lol He played 4 years for the Albany
Academy Cadets team in high school.

Anyway, he continued to play in the AHL even after the lockout was underway. He would join the Vancouver Canucks
via a trade with the team he signed on with after leaving the Devils, the Tampa Bay Lightning, to play for their affiliate,
the Manitoba Moose, for 1 season. He then went to play in Europe. First, in Germany in 06-07, then in Austria the
following year.

He has been retired since 2008, having been living in Saratoga Springs since, and working out of the Albany branch of
CBRE, a commercial real estate company.
Entry Draft: 1991 Second Round Pick (43rd overall) by the
Montreal Canadiens
