Regular Season Statistics with the Franchise
Stats in bold signifies team leader.
I'm not sure what the thinking was behind drafting Cairns at #20. As history would show, he only played 3 pro seasons,
all of them, save 9 games, being in the minors, he would be billed as a bust.

He didn't particularly impress in the minors, either. Far from it, actually, especially for someone that was drafted so high.

After the CHL's Phoenix Roadrunners (the team he was on at the time) folded during the 77-78 season, no one picked
him up, and he opted to retire.
