After finishing the 05-06 season with the Canucks, Brown decided to play overseas. He played 2 seasons in Germany,
and 3 more in Austria.
He became a skills coach at the Okanagan Hockey Academy in Penticton, B.C., in his post-playing days. He was part
of the Edmonton Oil Kings' staff that won the Memorial Cup in 2014, and the University of Alberta staff that won the
CIS National Championship in 2015.
