Bertrand made the Devils out of training camp after 4 seasons down in Albany. That was about the only highlight he had
with the Devils, though. Just that he showed up for 4 games.
The trade to the Thrashers wasn't the only move he'd make during that season. The Flyers would get him, then send him
across the street to play for the Phantoms. Then, the Predators would trade for him, only to send him to the Milwaukee
The Canadiens would be the last NHL team to have him. He would play 3 games in Montreal, and 66 with the Quebec
After a season in Germany, he got one more crack in North America with the Hershey Bears, and while he did get 67
points with them that season, he would return to Europe, playing for Germany up until 2006, where he jumped to
SønderjyskE in the Danish League.
He would return to North America in 2009 to play in the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey, mostly for the St.
Georges franchise. I have no word if he's retiring yet; he did play for St. Georges in 2016.
