Regular Season Statistics with the Franchise
Stats in bold signifies team leader.
Ashby had trouble staying with the NHL; the Leafs kept sending him down to the minors during the season in each of
his first 3 seasons. The fourth season: he opted to retire instead.

Then the trade to the Rockies happened, and he came back to play. Still, he only played a handful of games with the
parent club. He did have a good season with Fort Worth his only season there, scoring 54 points. He didn't finish the
season there, though; the trade to the Oilers happened.

He was part of the Wichita Wind team that went to the Adams Cup finals in 1981. A few days after the finals were over,
he was involved in a head-on car crash in Summerland, B.C. He would pass away a few hours later in the hospital in
Kelowna.

The CHL had renamed its Iron Man Award the following season in tribute to him.
