Such as what would be the case with any other pre-Devils coach that Bep's cousin was on VERY shaky
ground right from the start when he filled the position.

That's about all I can say about his tenure. Other than it was a lame duck situation he was in: Pat Kelly

was let go, he filled in, and was gone after it was over. Conveniently, he was already working for the
organization as the Director of Player Development when he was hired to coach, a job that he had been
doing since the team moved from Kansas City. At that time of the hire, he had been a pro scout for the
Atlanta Flames for a few years.

Post-hockey, he had settled back into his hometown of Guelph and worked in real estate until 2008,

when he suffered his first stroke. From what I've read, he had at least two more since, getting worse with
each one.
