the regular season.

History of the trophy: The Richard trophy was a gift to the NHL by the
Montreal Canadiens in honor of Maurice Richard, the first player in
league history to score 50 goals in a season, 50 goals in 50 games in a
season, and 500 career goals, in 1999.
